About Worst Deals Ever

Yes, the name is backwards on purpose. There's a certain kind of person who reviews everything with a dramatic sigh and a verdict of "Worst. Thing. Ever." We are that person, except we point it at deals. When a retailer prices something so low it's frankly embarrassing for them, that's the worst deal ever. For them. For you it's Tuesday.

The sigh rating

Every deal gets one to five sighs. Five sighs means we are personally offended by how low the price is and you should buy it before someone at corporate notices. Three sighs means it's a fair bit under normal and worth knowing about. We don't post one- or two-sigh deals, because those are just prices.

Nerd Approved

LEGO, Pokémon, anime, board games, comics, retro consoles, mechanical keyboards with sounds. If it belongs in the good aisle of a comic shop, it gets the Nerd Approved badge and its own filter, because some of us know what we came here for.

What we do

Every day we comb through the deal pages at Amazon, Walmart, Target, Best Buy, Home Depot, Lowe's, Costco and a few dozen others, plus the usual deal forums, and throw out roughly 97% of it. "15% off a thing that was overpriced to begin with" is not a deal. What survives gets a rating from one to five stars and a one-line verdict, and we try to tell you in plain English what the catch is, because there is usually a catch.

How we make money

Affiliate commissions. When you click a link here and buy something, the retailer pays us a small cut. You pay exactly the same price. We never take money to feature a product, and if a deal is bad we say so, because a site called Worst Deals Ever that recommends mediocre prices would be a short-lived joke. The details are on our disclosure page.

Who we are

Worst Deals Ever is a small, independently owned site based in Nevada. We are not affiliated with any retailer, any cartoon, or any comic book store.
